Adding Prayer to Lent - Day11

The LORD has been working in me during these last ten days or so. Since I have DETERMINED to add prayer to my 40 days of Lent, I have to make a conscious effort to do just that. I've always sent up sentence prayers all day; everyday as a matter of fact. But this journey has taken me deeper--it's caused me to purposely and deliberately find something to pray distinctly about. Here is an example. My friend was facing a difficult test, a vital class she needed to get her degree. She always seemed to freeze up at the worst possible moments, procrastinating until the last days and then hurrying to cram all that she knew into a cohesive, easily read paper. Knowing she had only days to finish, I did the only thing I knew to do. I enlisted the help of prayer partners to lift her to His Throne room.

I got her timetable and texted her encouragement each and every hour, so the enemy would not be able to keep up an attack. My friend confessed that the enemy kept telling her what a failure she has been...that she has no business pursuing this career plan; the LIES go on and on.

This is how the LORD breaks strongholds, my friend.

In Mark 9:28-29 (NIV)

"After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately,'Why couldn't we drive it out?'" He replied,"This kind can come out only by prayer."
