As a writer, I have become very aware of the power words have. The more I work at my craft, the more I feel a responsibility to my readers to use words to uplift and edify, rather than to cut and destroy. I am an encourager, even though I grew up surrounded by discouragers. Only God's Grace saved me from believing the lies I heard from the mouths of fools. There is much comparison between the fool and the wise in Proverbs 15.
A fool spurns his father's discipline, but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.(vs. 5) The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so the hearts of fools.(vs. 7) The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.(vs.14)
I don't want to be counted as a fool.
The more I seek Him, the more I want to seek Him.
My discerning heart seeks His knowledge.
What does your heart seek?
